SPECIALISING IN X-RAYS
FOR MORE THAN 60 YEARS
1956 Eng Bottonelli founds CEI in Bologna, manufacturing X-ray cathode ray tubes for television tubes
1978 The Company specialises in X-ray tubes for the dentistry sector
1981 The Company begins to manufacture medical X-ray tubes
1997 CEI is acquired by the Villa family, owner of numerous companies in the medical sector
1999 The ISO EN 9001 quality system is implemented, and the Company obtains the CE mark
2004 The Company is acquired by a consortium of investors. The Company has a SAP management system for administrative and production control
2006 Collaboration with the physics department of Bologna University begins, with the aim of improving manufacturing processes and the performance of our tubes
2014 All the Company’s business, assets, and employees acquired by Skanray Technologies
2015 More than Euro 500,000 invested in machinery to automate and reduce costs, improving quality and safety, and old machinery is replaced
2016 Mini-focus tubes and those with beryllium windows developed
2019-2020 Development of micro focus tubes and research on cold cathodes
2020-2021 Development of high voltage tubes for industrial applications
